Cursor Position 1.0 provides a small palette (the same height as the measurements palette) that shows the current or most recent position of the text cursor, relative to the top left point of the text block that contains the cursor.

When a text box is the current box and the contents tool is selected, the position displays in black text and is constantly updated as the cursor moves. In any other case, the last position is displayed in grey text.

Cursor Position 2.0 does everything that version 1.0 does, but also adds a pop-up menu to select the origin of measurement - the text block, the box, the margins or the page. In addition, it also shows any vertical space added to a line by the vertical justification routine. Obviously, for text that isn't vertically justified, this will always be zero

Cursor Position 2.1 is the version for QuarkXPress 7.01 and later

The new Cursor Position XTensions module for QuarkXPress is a very simple (but very useful) tool for page design. Not only does it track the position of your cursor at any time, it remembers the last position within any text box; and it can change its measurement display to whatever number system (points, picas, etc.) is in use.

It easily deals with individual text boxes on a page or columned text boxes. Offsetting your first baseline allows for even increment spacing if your attributes are set up right. It's a great tool for even design of a page.
